Bicycle Patrol Unit

The Police Department’s Bicycle Unit provides highly visible, mobile patrols that enhance safety and community engagement. Bicycle officers patrol neighborhoods, parks, trails, and special events.

By using bicycles, officers can respond quickly to incidents, deter crime through increased presence, and interact directly with community members. The unit also participates in public safety programs and community events, such as the Civic Celebration, St Martin's Fair, and the annual Bike Rodeo. This participation strengthens relationships between the department and the citizens it serves.

Safety is a top priority: all bicycle officers are specially trained, wear approved protective gear, and follow department policies and traffic laws while on patrol.
