Compliment / Positive Feedback Procedures
The Franklin Police Department welcomes and encourages community members to recognize employees who demonstrate outstanding service, professionalism, or dedication. All compliments / positive feedback is documented and shared with the appropriate personnel, highlighting exemplary performance and fostering a culture of excellence within the department. If you wish to provide a compliment / positive feedback, you can call, write, come to the station in person, or complete the Franklin Police Department Compliment / Positive Feedback Form.
Complaint Procedures
For minor concerns—such as an officer’s driving, attitude, or enforcement decisions—you can come into the police department or call the police department and ask to speak with the on-duty supervisor. The supervisor will listen to your concerns and try to address your questions right away. If needed, they will gather more information, speak with the officer involved, and follow up with you to share what was done and ensure your concerns are addressed.
State law gives citizens the right to file a formal complaint against a police officer. The Franklin Police Department takes all complaints seriously and will accept, investigate, and respond to any concerns about the conduct of our officers or civilian employees. If you wish to file a formal complaint, you can call, write, come to the station in person, or complete the Franklin Police Department Citizen Complaint Form.
