Inspection Services

Inspection Services approves and issues permits including building, electrical, plumbing, heating, occupancy, erosion control, etc., and performs all inspections related to those permits.  Inspection Services recently received approval from the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) to expand its commercial building and HVAC plan approval authority to include unlimited area alterations (effective May 1, 2023).  In addition, Inspection Services is responsible for issuing drive approach and culvert permits, inspection of reported code violations, and updating codes and ordinances.  Inspection Services also provides staff support to the Architectural Review Board.
