Alarm Permit

At least 10 days prior to the installation of an intrusion alarm system, a fire, smoke, water flow and heat detection alarm system, or local alarm system, the owner or lessee seeking to install the system shall apply for an alarm permit.

Ball field reservations are available from April 1 until July 31 of each year.

A Bartender Operator's License is required in order to serve fermented malt beverages and intoxicating liquor.

Building Permits Issued by Inspection Services

Building Permits are required for 1 & 2 family dwellings; new construction, additions, & alterations of commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-family dwellings; garages/accessory buildings; decks, fences, and pools; plumbing, electrical, HVAC work; reroofing and residing; signs; foundation repair; moving or demolition; occupancy, etc.

An Open Burning Permit allows a residential owner to burn in accordance with Chapter 133-17.E.(3) of the Franklin Municipal Code from April 1 to June 15 and October 15 to November 30.
