Common Council
Comprehensive Master Plan Amendment: Process for changes to the City of Franklin 2025 Comprehensive Master Plan.

Concept Review: General staff review and comments from the Common Council. Only preliminary plans are required.
Conditional Use: For land uses listed as conditional in their respective zoning district.

Easement: Conservation and landscape bufferyard easements may be required for subdivisions, certified survey maps, condominium plats or site plans.
Map Amendment (rezoning): Change parcels from one zoning district to another.
Planned Development District: Planned Development Districts create a new zoning district overlay over an existing base zoning district.

Land Division
Affidavit of Correction (Plat): For correcting errors on plats.
Condominium Plat: Process for creating or amending a condominium.
Land Combination: Process of combining parcels.
Minor Land Division (Certified Survey Map): Process of creating no more than 4 parcels of land.
Preliminary Plat: Process of creating more than 4 parcels of land.
Final Plat: The second step to creating a subdivision of 4 or more parcels of land.
Right-of-Way Vacation: For requests to vacate public right-of-way.

Signs
Sign Permit: For new signs, changes of sign face, or relocation of signs that do not require Plan Commission approval.
Sign Review: To allow for more than one monument sign per lot frontage.
Master Sign Program: Alternative procedure to encourage a higher level of design and amenity than is possible to achieve under applicable sign regulations.
Variance and Exceptions
Natural Resource Special Exception (NRSE): For exceptions to natural resources protection standards.
