Licensing and Inspection

We are an Agent of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP). As an agent we are tasked with licensing and/or inspection of all food establishments, hotels, motels, and public swimming pools in Franklin. Inspections

• Franklin Health Department inspects approximately 140 licensed establishments at least one time each year to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local codes and safety guidelines. Establishments inspected by our staff include:

  • Restaurants

  • Temporary Food Events

  • Hotels/Motels

  • Public Swimming Pools

  • School Cafeterias
