Road Load Restriction Limits

Load Limits for the City of Franklin Effective 2/16/2026 

Please be advised that per Municipal Code §245.6, loads weighing greater than 8-ton G.V.W. will not be allowed on City Streets. These load limits are in effect as of 2/16/2026 for all City of Franklin Streets with the following exceptions:  

60th Street north of Ryan Road
80th Street from Ryan Road south
112th Street south of Cortez Road
Cortez Road from Forest Home to 112th Street
Elm Road west of 27th Street to Hickory Street
Franklin Business Park/Industrial Park (incl. S. 60 St. from Ryan Rd. to Franklin Dr.)
Oakwood Road from S. 27th Street to 800 feet west
Riverwood Blvd. from S. 27th Street to Rawson Avenue
St. Martins Road from S. Lovers Lane Road to Forest Home Avenue
Speedway Drive from S.T.H. 100 to Forest Home Avenue
Sycamore Street
Venture Drive from S.T.H. 100 to east
Wheaton Way

All State and County Trunk Highways are exempt, including S.T.H. 100, S. 76th Street, W. Rawson Avenue, S. 27th Street, W. Loomis Road, and W. Forest Home Avenue.

The City's trash hauler will be allowed on City streets for trash and recycling collection.
