The City of Franklin, located in the far southwest corner of Milwaukee County, is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Health & Human Services. The successful applicant, as the Health Officer, will work to identify the health needs of the City of Franklin and develop programs to meet established goals. The Director is responsible for control of communicable diseases and currently manages a staff of 8 employees.  Full job duties can be viewed in the Job Description.

Qualifications Include:  Master's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, public health, environmental health, physical or biological sciences, or a related field. Three (3) years of progressively responsible full-time employment with a public health agency, including responsibility for communicable disease prevention and control, is required.  Licensed by State of Wisconsin as a registered professional nurse or sanitarian, if applicable.  A valid driver’s license is required.  

Salary Range & Benefits:  $90,002 - $121,499 annually, plus competitive benefit package which includes the WI Retirement System Pension Plan; choice of a traditional PPO health plan or a high-deductible health plan with a HSA option; dental, vision and life insurance; and paid time off including vacation, holidays, personal days, and sick time.
