The City of Franklin, located in the far southwest corner of Milwaukee County, is currently hiring for a full-time Building Inspector. Franklin is a growing community and the department consists of 9 full-time employees.

Duties:  Duties will include enforcing the building codes of the City of Franklin and the State of Wisconsin, and to administer and enforce the provisions of those sections of the Municipal Code under the department's jurisdiction. Qualifications:  Two years general construction or related experience. Thorough knowledge of building and zoning codes.  State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services certifications in the categories of commercial buildings, Uniform Dwelling Code certification in Building and HVAC; Plumbing, Electrical, and P.O.W.T.S. certifications are preferred but not required.  View full job description.

Salary & Benefits:  Range of $60,543 to $80,220, depending on qualifications.  Benefits include WI Retirement System Pension Plan; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid time off including personal days, vacation, holidays, and sick time.
