The City of Franklin is currently looking to fill a new position of Accreditation Coordinator in our Police Department.  

Duties:  Coordinates the accreditation project by working closely with Command Staff to promote best practices, maintain documentation, and support policy development and continuous organizational improvement.  Maintains files and documentation.  Follows through to ensure timely completion of required tasks by all staff.  Helps to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.  View full job description

Education/Experience:  High School education or GED required with Bachelor’s degree preferred; 1 year of related clerical or program coordination experience preferred; knowledge of law enforcement operations/procedures preferred, excellent organizational and project management skills, ability to multi-task, work independently, self-motivated, computer proficient, and excellent communicator (both verbal and written) are all required. 

Hours:  Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day. Hours will normally be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with some flexibility to attend some evening community engagement events.

Starting Wages:  $23 to $26/hour, depending on qualifications. This is currently a grant-funded position with appropriations awarded for 2 years.  We hope to continue the position after the initial 2-year grant, but cannot guarantee continuation beyond 2027.
