The members of the City of Franklin Fire Department will protect the people and property of Franklin to the best of our ability at all times. We will strive to effectively prevent injuries and property damage. We will provide rapid and professional response in the event of emergencies, and we will perform these functions with "Courage, Integrity, and Honor."
The vision of the City of Franklin Fire Department is to continue meeting the demands of a growing community while improving the level of care the citizens have come to expect while remaining as cost effective as possible. To achieve the mission, the Fire Department must effectively deliver community injury prevention education, property damage prevention education, fire safety inspections and codes, fire suppression, emergency medical response and care, and other emergency services as needed by the community. We will be active participants in this community, serve as role models, and strive to utilize all of the necessary resources at our command to provide a quality of service deemed excellent by our citizens.
The Fire Department will vigilantly monitor these services and attempt to upgrade when need for change arises. The Franklin Fire Department intends to be a catalyst for providing a fire safe community and for the provision of emergency services that ensure the health and safety of all citizens. The fire department will accomplish the above by establishing two primary goals:
I. Through quality community education programs, prevent injuries and death, property loss as a result of fire and other man made or natural disasters, and negative environment impacts.
II. When the prevention efforts were not enough; reduce the effects of personal injury and property loss through the timely and adequate provision of the fire suppression, emergency medical, and other emergency service response.
