The mission of the Human Resources function is to develop and maintain a high functioning workforce through strategic, flexible, progressive, and cost-effective human resources systems. The services provided by Human Resources range from analysis and recommendations regarding complex compensation and benefits issues, to consultation with management and policy makers, to direct service to employees. The functional areas encompassing Human Resources are staffing, labor relations, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee records, equal employment opportunity, and human resources information systems.
