TIF Districts

Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) Districts are formed to enable development that would not otherwise develop without the establishment of a TIF District.  The City of Franklin currently has three (3) TIF Districts. 


TIF District No. 2

Includes the Franklin Business Park area generally from Ryan Road to Oakwood Road and 53rd Street to 42nd Street.  TIF District No. 2 is managed by the Community Development Authority, a 7-member board established to promote and develop the Business Park.  TIF District No. 2 closed in 2011.

TIF District No. 3 

Located generally in an area bounded on the north by the area approximately just north of Rawson Avenue, on the east by 27th Street, on the south by the area approximately just south of Villa Drive, and on the west by 35th Street.  TIF District No. 3 is managed by the Franklin Common Council.

TIF District No. 4 

Located in an area generally bounded by Fitzsimmons Street on the north, 27th Street on the east, South County Line Road on the south, and an irregular boundary on the west.  TIF District No. 4 is managed by the Franklin Common Council.
