Municipal Elected Offices:
At the April 6, 2010 Spring Election, the following municipal offices will be on the ballot:
3-Year Term for
1st District Alderman, 2nd District Alderman, and 5th District Alderman
The annual salary for the office of Alderman is $7,200 plus $1,800 for mileage and expenses. Nomination papers for the above-listed offices are available for circulation and must be filed in the Office of the City Clerk (along with other documents) no later than 5 p.m. on January 5, 2010. Voter Registration:
Even though Wisconsin is one of eight states that allows voter registration at polling locations on Election Day, you are encouraged to register early to avoid long registration lines or the lack of necessary documentation required by law when you arrive at the polls on Election Day. Voters already registered in the City of Franklin are also encouraged to contact the City Clerk's Office if your name has changed or you have moved within Franklin since you last voted in Franklin. You can check your current registration information by contacting the City Clerk's Office at 414-425-7500 or by accessing the information directly at https://vpa.wi.gov. You may register to vote at the City Clerk's Office Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., up until the day before the Election.
To register, you must be a qualified voter, you must complete a Voter Registration Application, provide your driver's license number (or a State-issued identification card number or the last four digits of your social security number), and have proof of residence with your full name and current address indicating that you have lived at your current address for 10 days preceding the election.
