The Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) has the overall responsibility for issuing pet licenses in Milwaukee County. Licenses are issued through the municipalities and directly by MADACC. As such, pet licenses may be applied for in the following ways:
Mail: Send the application, copy of proof of vaccination, and a check made payable to the City of Franklin to 9229 W. Loomis Road, Franklin, WI 53132. |

Cashier's Office at City Hall: Bring your application, vaccination records, and a check made payable to the City of Franklin to the Cashier's Office at Franklin City Hall, 9229 W. Loomis Road, Franklin.
Online: Visit the MADACC website at www.madacc.com. In addition to personal checks, payment made directly to MADACC gives you the option of purchasing your pet license with either a MasterCard or Visa credit card via a secured encrypted connection.
Pet licenses are required and due by April 1 of each year, or within 30 days from the adoption of your new pet. The cost of a pet license in the City of Franklin is $12 for an altered pet, $25 if your pet is not spayed or neutered. There is a $5 late charge for payment received after April 1. A copy of the rabies vaccination certificate issued by your veterinarian is required as proof of vaccination. For the on-line option, MADACC will call the veterinary clinic that vaccinated your pet, as indicated on the online form, to verify current rabies vaccination status, or a copy may be faxed to 414-649-8651.
