Pat Morse, Ph.D.

A faculty member at the Harvard School of Management since 1986, Pat Morse was named the John Dohr Professor of Accounting Information and Management in 1996. Previously, he held appointments in accounting and economics at the University of Ohio. 

Professor Morse's teaching and research interests include managerial accounting, management compensation, financial disclosure, and information economics.. He is the author of more than 20 papers which have appeared in leading academic journals of accounting and economics.

Professor Morse regularly gives seminars at leading international business schools. We are fortunate to have him on our faculty.  Students interest in pursuing careers in the Accounting field will have Professor Morse for many of their classes.

Valerie Bieser, Ph.D.
Department:  Industrial Organizational Psychology

Dr. Bieser is the coordinator of the I/O Masters program and resident professor at NU. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in I/O Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Groups, Stress, and Statistics. She received both her Master of Science and her Doctorate in I/O Psychology from Northwestern University in 1995.

Her numerous publications have focused on training and workplace applications.  Her research interests include work stress and coping at work, along with diversity and cross cultural issues. Her work has been published in the Journal of I/O Psychology. Dr. Bieser is active in various professional organizations and has served as consultant to a number of Fortune 500 companies.  

We welcome Dr. Bieser and look forward to her new I/O curriculum.

Douglas Lantz, Assistant Professor

Doug Lantz is our new Assistant Professor of Management at Northwood University's College of Business. He received his Masters. in Business Administration (with a major in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources and a minor in Business Policy and Strategy) from the University of Illinois.

Doug's research is focused on the areas of job design, human and social capital, organizational and professional contexts of work, and knowledge sharing in organizations. Doug worked in industry as an HR consultant with XYZ Consulting, serving organizations here and abroad. His international background will be an excellent resource for students and faculty.
