The Friends of Franklin’s Parks is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the parks and other publicly accessible lands located in Franklin Wisconsin by:
Raising public awareness of park services
Presenting or sponsoring environmental, horticultural, recreational or educational programming
Conducting fundraising events to provide funds for projects or items not covered by the City of Franklin Parks operating budget
Advocating for increased park services, programs, or funding
Organizing and/or providing volunteers for work on specific or ongoing projects identified by the parks director, staff and/or the Parks Commission
Sponsoring weed-out programs to help manage the Parks natural areas
Recognizing exceptional performance of individual park staff or citizens related to the parks
Organize park clean-ups
Conducting environmental surveys and inventories
The Friends of Franklin's Parks is an independent volunteer organization working with the Franklin Parks Department, City of Franklin Parks Commission, the City of Franklin and local land conservancy groups holding publicly accessible lands.
