Public Construction

IMPROVEMENT OF W. COLLEGE AVENUE (S. 51st St. to S. 27th St.) - OCTOBER THRU LATE NOVEMBER

Milwaukee County Public Works has contracted the milling and overlaying of asphalt pavement on W. College Avenue (CTH ZZ).  The project will also serve to improve drainage.  Paved shoulders, typically 6 feet in width, will be added along the south edge of pavement, from S. 43rd Street to S. 27th Street.

West bound travel will be open through the project.  East bound traffic will need to detour to W. Rawson Avenue or north to an east bound street.  Vehicular access to residences and various businesses along W. College Avenue will be maintained throughout the project.

The project is scheduled to be completed in late November.  Restoration may be required next spring.
