The City of Franklin is accepting applications for a part-time Community Service Officer (CSO). The CSO will be a civilian, non-sworn, employee of the Franklin Police Department performing work that supports basic law enforcement operations in exchange for gaining hands-on practical experience while pursuing post-secondary education in law enforcement. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Enrolled in Criminal Justice, Police Science, or related law-enforcement degree program at an accredited college or university. Candidates must be actively pursuing a career as a sworn law enforcement officer; continued employment is contingent upon maintaining these requirements. Eligibility will continue up to one year after graduation.
Pay: Approximately $18/hour, depending on qualifications.
Hours of Work: Days and hours are expected to be flexible. We anticipate the successful candidate will work 40 hours in each two-week pay period.
